Dog Friendly

Dogs are welcome!

Please read all the details below. If you have any further questions please do give us a ring.

We will be happy to chat to you about bringing your dog. We may, at our discretion, accept one larger dog, but this must be pre-agreed by us.

We accept 1 or 2 small dogs based on the following:

  • Toilet trained
  • Well behaved
  • Dogs are not allowed on the beds
  • £15 per dog per stay
  • £75 house keeping deposit

Please be aware that the garden, although fenced, is quite small. It is your responsibility to ensure gates are closed. Owners of very small dogs should be aware of the wire fence. Please call for more information if worried about dogs escaping.

There are lots of good dog walks locally and a 3 mile circular route, on a country lane, directly from the cottage. The area offers dog friendly beaches and plenty of options for countryside walking.

Please bring the following

  • Your dog’s bed
  • Towels for cleaning your dog
  • Food bowls / bags

The cottage kitchen has no door and is open to the lounge, we have provided a stair gate for your use here.  Guests should be aware that the cottage has a light coloured carpet in the lounge.

If possible we would ask that dogs be kept out of the bedrooms. The transfer of dog hair onto bedding can be hard to remove.

House Keeping Deposit

We realise that guests will treat our cottage with the respect they would their own homes. However, the house keeping deposit is to cover any potential damage or additional cleaning. All being well, the deposit will be refunded within 7 days of departure.

Any questions should be addressed before making a booking. We welcome guests with dogs and will be very happy to talk to you over the telephone.
